Here are 3 guaranteed ways to help you get you started:
1) Give yourself a break!
Still not come up with something to test, or write about? Oh dear, well - It’s true of any project or task - the longer you sit there trying to come up with something, the worse you’ll do. Take a 5 minute break, come back to it and start again. But you decide when to take the break; schedule it in. Just don’t take them willy nilly. It’ll help you learn discipline and become more focused in the long run.
2) Read something academic!
It sounds daft, but read. Read read read. Even if you dip into lots of different random journals - just read. It’ll help you come up with something.
3) Don’t copy your friends.
Just because they’re doing something doesn’t mean you should be. Break away from the crowd and find something YOU want to write about. What do you enjoy? What did you excell at? Write something that hold meaning for you.
